“ Laidback and unassuming at first glance, this neighborhood resto-bar will dazzle you with its stellar food. I'm particularly fond of their namesake burger, their Mexican street corn esquites dish, and their brunchtime waffles. Nonetheless, every single item offered on their menu is outstanding, made all the more remarkable by its overall affordability - which makes it very feasible to eat here on a routine basis without breaking the bank. This combination of affordable pricing, stellar food, and friendly staff has positioned the venue to grow into a sort of hub for the Olde Towne East neighborhood. My only critique would be its slow service, a result simply of minimal staff. Not ideal for patrons on a tight schedule during their lunch break - but an unexpected benefit to those who simply wish to socialize, relax, or study in the space without necessarily being pressured immediately into purchasing something or spending money. I appreciate this laidback vibe, which has resulted in an eclectic but consistent clientele comprising folks from a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds and income brackets. The very essence of what a bar should be - a place for all to enjoy without the stress and pretentiousness that I see these days throughout its rival bars across the street. ”

“ Decided to try another tavern spot since the main spots I wanted to try were closed. Asked the waiter for recommendations and she gave me a blackberry rhubarb lemonade vodka, a soup of the week which was a light cheesy broccoli soup, and a sweet sugary bacon burger that hit the spot! The drink had a little fizz and was a nice way to get a little buzz at 2pm. The soup was actually quite lovely! I feel like I could’ve had a full portion and feel absolutely rejuvenated for the rest of my day. The burger was pretty good! I’m not a huge bacon in my burger person but the sweetens of the bacon paired really well with the Swiss cheese burger. Having chips and salsa instead of fries as the side was also interesting and added another layer to my taste buds. Service was a bit slow, especially since the place was mostly empty - but I think in a way this comes with the charm of the place. I wonder how it would change if the place was completely packed - and it definitely has the space and TV screens to make that a reality! Definitely want to try some other things next time I come! ”

“ Came here with a large group of women before an event for their brunch. I can’t speak for both tables, but our table loved our menu choices and the mimosas. We had the brunch nachos, breakfast burritos, and the sweet potato hash. Reasonably priced, friendly staff. Will return! ”

“ Nice laid back atmosphere. The food was great, bar food taken to the next level. Wonderful selection on tap. I had a peach ale that was outstanding. I wish I could remember the name . The only thing is, this isn't the place to go if you're in a hurry. If you want to chill with good food and drinks, I highly recommend it! The staff was on point ,and the bill wasn't bad. I'll definitely go back next time I'm in the area! ”

“ Service was good considering there was only one person working. They ask that you order at the bar. We ordered the Sweet Heat Burger and Buffalo wings. The wings were smokey and very tasty. We shared the burger and thought it was just the right about of sweet and spice. Bonus points for splitting are burger and fries for us. Nice little neighborhood tavern. We will return. ”
